WJMS TSA has adopted a new motto for 2016;
LEARNING TO LEAD IN A TECHNICAL WORLD
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national career and technical student organization dedicated to fostering personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Members of TSA apply and integrate these concepts through cocurricular activities, competitions, and related programs. http://cotsa.cccs.edu/
To meet this motto, we have added several events this school year adding to the State Conference Event.

Best Robotic Competition Kickoff Saturday 9-10-2016 9am-12am Dakota Ridge High School http://www.frbest.org/

Fund Raising All Year Long Everywhere we can!
Our student led CTSO WJMS TSA group is always looking for new events help foster student leadership.
Fund Raising Opportunities - our Officers are always on the lookout for new and different opportunities to raise money to cover the cost of TSA membership. As a student led CTSO, we are fortunate to have amazing support from our school administration but we are a self-funded group. The $100 student fee to join TSA only pays for about 40% of the cost of each student for the year. The remainder has to come from the student work in seeking other sources of funding though fund raising. We are also privileged to have two Co-Treasurers that are willing to take on that challenge, however, TSA is always open new suggestions to help raise funding.
Meetings - weekly group meetings were voted on and established by the Officer Team to be every Tuesday from 1:50 to 3:00pm, weather permitting. It has always been the philosophy of WJMS TSA that students should participate in other activities and sports. Students that need to leave early for practice or other reason must check in with either the TSA Secretary, Mr. Williams, or Ms. Stewart. Students are still responsible for duties related to their membership or position in TSA.
Competitions - students are expected to follow all rules guidelines established by TSA Colorado and WJMS TSA and WJMS. Student groups must work collaboratively to complete or practice any event that has been chosen by the student. This includes event requirements, documentation, and uniform if required.
Transportation - again because of limited funding, WJMS TSA does rely on the help and generosity of parents to transport students to and from events. Mr. Williams and Ms. Stewart will take as many students as we can but because the large number this year, we have 52 members, we will need help from parents to move from point A to point B for both Leadership and State Conference. There is a Jeffco Form that needs to be filled out. Please contact Mr. Williams or Ms. Stewart if you can assist with transportation.
Questions - if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact either Mr. Williams or Ms. Stewart at any time via email.

Have an amazing school year.
